No appointment is required for a quick road test, although we do recommend calling ahead so we can ensure someone is available to assist you right away.

For the most accurate diagnosis, we strongly encourage customers to leave their vehicle with us whenever possible. Some transmission problems only occur after the vehicle has reached operating temperature, while others require additional testing, lift inspections, fluid check, or removing the transmission pan to inspect for internal wear. Having your vehicle for several hours—or even the day—allows our technicians to perform a much more thorough diagnosis instead of rushing to conclusions.

At Superior Transmissions, we believe charging customers simply to find out what's wrong with their vehicle is often an unnecessary burden. That's why we provide our transmission diagnostics at no charge. A free diagnosis doesn't mean a rushed or less thorough inspection. Every vehicle receives the same detailed diagnostic process we would perform if we were charging for it. We believe accurate diagnostics should help customers make informed decisions, not create another obstacle before repairs can even begin.

Once we've completed our diagnosis, we'll explain exactly what we found.

Step 3: Exceptional Work Done Right

Transmission repair isn't something we do occasionally—it's what we specialize in every single day.

Our technicians focus on transmission diagnostics, rebuilding, and installation, using quality parts and proven repair procedures. Every transmission we rebuild is carefully disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, inspected component by component, and rebuilt with updated parts whenever applicable to improve reliability beyond the original factory design.

Once reassembled, your transmission is reinstalled, filled with the correct fluid, programmed or relearned when required, and then road tested under both cold and fully warmed-up operating conditions. Before your vehicle leaves our shop, it is placed back on the lift for a final inspection to verify fluid levels, torque critical fasteners, and check for leaks.

Quality control isn't something we rush. It's one of the most important parts of the entire repair process. Before your vehicle is ready for pickup, it is test driven three separate times by multiple team members to verify shift quality, performance, and reliability under real-world driving conditions.
